Shilpa Shetty, born on June 24, 1995, in Puttur, Mangalore, is the younger daughter of Vasanth Shetty and Yoshodha Shetty. She has a sister named Poornima BV Shetty. Shilpa completed her schooling at Ramkrishna High School, Puttur, followed by her 12th-grade studies at Vivekananda Polytechnic, Puttur. Later, she pursued engineering at Sahyadri College of Engineering, Mangalore. From a young age, Shilpa aspired to become an actress. Her dream began to materialize in 2017 when she got her big break in the television serial Eradu Kanasu, directed by Mohena Singh. In the show, she played the character Sahaja, also known as Subbi, an elder sister in a story centered around women empowerment. Her strong performance, despite being new to the industry, earned her recognition. Shilpa's career took another significant turn when she played a negative role in the popular serial Raja Rani. Her growing fame led to her being dubbed the "Puttur Queen." Shilpa's career further expanded when she was cast in her first Tulu movie, Girgit, a major opportunity given that Tulu is her mother tongue. Following her success in Girgit, Shilpa received numerous film offers, landing roles in movies such as Neuron, 100, Ramachari 2.0, and Sugar Factory, marking her rise in both the television and film industries.
